Built in 2011, the Pacifica Honolulu was originally developed by Hawaiian Dredging under the name of Moana Vista, but work was stalled with the housing crash in 2007/2008 and the building sat half completed for some time until San Diego developer OliverMcMillan purchased the project via auction in 2009. In purchasing the project at a relatively low price, OliverMcMillan was able to invest in the project and put in higher quality finishes and better amenities than were originally planned, much to the delight of original buyers in the project.
The Pacifica is a residential high-rise made up of glass, steel and poured concrete. Residents enjoy the convenience of high-end restaurants, coffee shop and bars at the base and easy walks to Ward Shopping centers, the Blaisdell Arena and Concert Hall and about a 10-15 minute walk to Ala Moana Shopping Center and Beach Park.
