Building Analysis - Symphony Honolulu: Building and Site Features
The Symphony Honolulu is a new development planned by San Diego based developer Oliver McMillan. The project features a 45 story glass high-rise tower with 388 luxury condos available in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom configurations.
The location is a prime lot on the corner of Kapiolani Blvd. and Ward Avenue. It’s directly across Ward Avenue from the Neil Blaisdell Center. Much of the ground floor and first 3 levels will be occupied by JN Automotive’s Velocity auto dealership that features exotic cars. There’s a large auto Showroom, service facilities, offices, restaurants and retail (80,000 s.f. total).
The tower is designed as a green building that follows some LEED criteria. There’s a large array of PV solar panels on the recreation deck, a green roof with indigenous plants, EV charging stations for electric cars and gray water reclamation.
Construction is scheduled to start in late 2013 and be completed by early 2016.
